Advanced Melee Combat is a system I created and developed that translates the player input to a specific player character output. I developed the system to utilize either controller or mouse movement input. The controller input is based around utilizing button combo's or multiple button/trigger presses. The mouse input system is designed so different mouse movements will directly correlate to specific outputs and are calculated using a 2D vector system and the unit circle. The player utilizes key presses to determine if the desired output is attack or defense. The player has the abili;ty to combine attacks that form combos. The camera for this system uses a lock-on mechanic. The system is designed for a third person perspective.
